“Marmas” – Scented Candle Vase by MOFAGE
“Marmas” is an aromatic candle creation infused with a Qatari-Arab essence, blending refreshing herbal oils, luxurious woody notes, and the delicate fragrance of flowers. The result is a scent that evokes the mornings of Eid, joyful family gatherings, cherished moments with loved ones, and the blissful evenings of Ramadan.
We chose the name Marmas from our Gulf Qatari culture, referring to the traditional place of conversation, socializing, and family gatherings. It reflects the warmth, memories, and spirit of togetherness that such spaces carry—now captured within this candle.
The vase design was inspired by our heritage of perfuming garments and linens with incense. Traditionally, fabrics were draped over a wooden base with burning oud beneath, letting the smoke cascade upward—an image we re-imagined in the elegant inverted form of the MOFAGE vase. After the candle is finished, the vase itself can be reused as a decorative piece.
We chose deep brown, inspired by the rich color of natural oud wood used in the “Marmas” fragrance, to create a product that stirs emotions and revives memories deeply rooted in our beautiful culture.
